APRIL 22ND YTU ELT MEETING

ELT students gathered to deal with a very humane, serious topic. Animal testing and consumption.
We talked about our own pets and how much we value them and their importance in our lives.
We also discussed certain facts about animal testing as, how 10 million animals die and 8 million suffer per year, how they are killed in vain and there is no difference between a pet and another living creature.
Even though most of us were not conscious shoppers before the meeting, we do hope we gave an insight into the importance of other lives.
Couple of things from our meeting worth underlining;
"Just because they can not communicate through a language does not mean they don't get hurt or feel pain."
"It is ethically wrong to manipulate another living creature for your own sake at any point in any case."
"You can always choose to do good to the world."
"We have access to the internet, ergo we can always do research about what to purchase and what not to purchase. It is simple human decency."
We also made a list of the brands we know to be cruelty free and some vegan;
And the slide we used;

We also had tiny samples from cruelty free brands that we gave away with wheeldecide:)
